10:00 am Gel nails

Students will start with an introduction to nails which is a 2 class module including health and safety in the salon, product chemistry and nail tips and preparation.  They will then learn the introduction to gel nails including, the difference between acrylic & gel, hard gel, soft gel & gel polish, they will learn about lamps and brushes along with the components of the Gellen gel line.  They will perform practical applications in the 5 classes in this module.  Manicure or equivalent is a pre-requisite.

10:00 am Liquid/Powder Acrylic

Students will learn about powder and liquid and the benefits of this kind of enhancement.  They will learn how to create the proper ratio.  There are 5 classes in this module, the introduction, 2 new set applications, tips and acrylic, sculptured acrylic and a clear and french fill.

10:00 am Fibreglass/silk wraps

Students will learn how to apply a set of tips and a fibre/silk wrap over top to give a beautiful and natural set of nails for short term wear for those clients who don’t want to commit to regular enhancements but need additional length temporarily.

10:00 am Introduction to Nail Enhancements

In this Introduction to nail enhancements students will learn about nail product chemistry, salon health & safety, how to prepare the natural nail for enhancements, and proper tip application. Classes included: Theory 2, Nail tips & preparation

This is a prerequisite for Acrylic and Gel

Students will learn colour theory basics, how to pick and choose nail art tools and will learn basic hand painted designs using nail polish and craft paint.

5:30 pm Introduction to Aromatherapy

Come join us and learn about about Aromatherapy.  You will learn about some common essential oils and their uses. You will get to make some spa products using essential oils and even get to take them home.

10:00 am Advanced Shaping

Students will learn and perform the assorted shapes of nail enhancements. From coffin to stiletto and classic square, we will work on perfecting shaping of free edge and surface during this workshop.
