5:30 pm Gel nails

Students will start with an introduction to nails which is a 2 class module including health and safety in the salon, product chemistry and nail tips and preparation.  They will then learn the introduction to gel nails including, the difference between acrylic & gel, hard gel, soft gel & gel polish, they will learn about lamps and brushes along with the components of the Gellen gel line.  They will perform practical applications in the 5 classes in this module.  Manicure or equivalent is a pre-requisite.

5:30 pm Liquid/Powder Acrylic

Students will learn about powder and liquid and the benefits of this kind of enhancement.  They will learn how to create the proper ratio.  There are 5 classes in this module, the introduction, 2 new set applications, tips and acrylic, sculptured acrylic and a clear and french fill.

5:30 pm Introduction to Nail Enhancements

In this Introduction to nail enhancements students will learn about nail product chemistry, salon health & safety, how to prepare the natural nail for enhancements, and proper tip application. Classes included: Theory 2, Nail tips & preparation

This is a prerequisite for Liquid/powder, UV gel, Resin, Dipping, Polygel or Fibre/silk nail modules

Students will learn and perform basic pedicure techniques with focus on callous & cuticle work along with toenail polishing.  They will review disease identification and prevention related to the foot

10:00 am Gellen Pearl

Students will learn about the revolutionary  Gellen Pearl  teeth whitening system, designed specifically for the salon.

They will learn about comparable teeth whitening systems and the disadvantages of them compared to Gellen Pearl.  They will learn how to administer this treatment to clients and how to promote the business of teeth whitening.

All students will have their teeth whitened during class (if they are suitable candidates) and will write a quiz at the end of class and receive their certification of a teeth whitening technician upon passing.

               Duration: 1 class or approx. 4 hours

10:00 am 3D Nail art

Students will learn how to create 3D nail art using gel and liquid powder.

5:30 pm Classic Eyelash Extensions

Students will learn about the different types of lashes, products and history of permanent & semi-permanent lashes.  In addition, students will learn how to and will apply natural-looking individual eyelashes on a model, and how to care for permanent lash applications.  The third class students will learn how to fill and remove lash extensions.

Students will learn how to use a whole new level of nail dipping system. This unique light cured technology is faster than other dip systems. It is easy to use and remove for beginners in nail technology.
